UAE e-invoicing (PINT-AE): what the mandate means and how Easyy Accounting ERP helps

From 2027, businesses in the UAE move B2B and B2G invoices onto a structured electronic format, sent through accredited service providers. Here is the mandate in plain terms, the dates as announced, and exactly what Easyy Accounting ERP does about it today.

Who it's for

Trading businesses with a UAE branch

This page is for distributors and traders invoicing other businesses or government bodies from the UAE, whether the UAE is the whole business or one branch of a group that also trades in India.

  • UAE distributors and wholesalers selling B2B on credit
  • Groups running an India branch and a UAE branch in one company
  • Businesses that supply government entities
  • Finance teams who need to know their date and their deadline for appointing a provider
The mandate

What UAE e-invoicing is

Under the UAE's Electronic Invoicing System, an invoice stops being a PDF or a printed page and becomes structured data in a set format, PINT-AE, the UAE version of the Peppol invoice standard. The seller's accredited service provider (ASP) sends it to the buyer's provider, and the tax data is reported to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).

It covers business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) transactions. Business-to-consumer (B2C) sales are outside the system under the current decision, so a retail counter selling to the public is not in scope for now.

Every in-scope business has to do two things by its deadline: appoint an accredited service provider, and implement the system so its invoices actually flow through it.

Built for UAE e-invoicing (PINT-AE)

How Easyy Accounting ERP helps

VAT-compliant invoices, an English and Arabic interface, PINT-AE e-invoices, and batch, expiry and multi-branch control built in.

PINT-AE e-invoices are generated and validated inside Easyy Accounting ERP; the connection to an accredited service provider is being integrated.

01

PINT-AE invoice generation

The e-invoice is built from the posted sales invoice, so the figures in the e-invoice are the figures in your books. Nobody re-types anything.

02

Validation before sending

Each e-invoice is checked against the PINT-AE rules inside the system, and problems are shown while they can still be fixed.

03

A queue and a log

Validated e-invoices wait in a queue with a submission log beside it, until the provider connection goes live.

04

Buyer details kept once

A register of your buyers' e-invoicing details, so each invoice picks them up rather than someone typing them in.

05

English and Arabic interface

Staff can work in English or in a full Arabic interface with right-to-left layout.

06

VAT on every line

VAT from the tax master, reverse charge on purchases, the FTA VAT 201 return, and a 14-day credit-note check.

Set up e-invoicing on the UAE branch

Your TRN and e-invoicing details sit on the branch, alongside its VAT setup. It works with the Credit & Debit Notes module.

02

Invoice as you do now

Sales invoices, credit notes and debit notes are raised on the usual screens. Batch, expiry and warehouse control carry on as normal.

03

Review what the checks found

Anything that fails validation is listed against the invoice, so it can be corrected before it goes anywhere.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

Is B2C covered by UAE e-invoicing?

Not under the current decision. The system covers B2B and B2G transactions; business-to-consumer sales are outside it for now.

When does my business have to start?

If your revenue is AED 50 million or more, by 1 January 2027, with a provider appointed by 30 October 2026. Other in-scope businesses by 1 July 2027, and government entities by 1 October 2027. Check the Ministry of Finance's latest notice.

What is the penalty for missing it?

An administrative fine of AED 5,000 per month for not implementing the system, or for not appointing an accredited service provider, within the timeframe.

Does Easyy Accounting ERP send e-invoices to the FTA today?

Not yet. PINT-AE e-invoices are generated and validated inside Easyy Accounting ERP; the connection to an accredited service provider is being integrated.

Can we print invoices in Arabic?

The interface is available in Arabic with right-to-left layout. Bilingual invoice prints are not available today.

Do we still need our own accredited service provider?

Yes. The mandate requires each in-scope business to appoint one. We will talk through how that fits with Easyy Accounting ERP at the demo.
