Looking for a Marg alternative: what to check if you distribute medicines
Medical distribution has a shorter list of things that really matter than most software categories, and a longer list of ways to get them slightly wrong. This page says what Easyy Accounting ERP does on the three that usually decide it.

Pharma distribution: batches, expiry, MRP and licences
Stock is held by batch, and batches carry expiry dates and MRP. On a sale, a batch-wise picker shows available quantity, expiry and MRP together, and expired batches are flagged rather than quietly offered.
Where goods go out before the supplier's bill has been entered — routine in this trade — batch and expiry can be entered manually at the time of sale, so the dispatch is not held hostage to the paperwork.
Party records carry Drug Licence and Food Licence numbers with their expiry dates, and an expired licence blocks new invoices to that party. An item can be flagged as narcotic on the Item Master, and a narcotic item cannot be sold to a party without both a GST number and a valid Drug Licence.
Two smaller things matter more day to day than they sound. Negative stock control is set per branch — Allow, Ask and Continue, or Block — so a godown can be strict while a counter stays workable. And on purchase and sales entry the last five transactions for the same party and item are shown with MRP and rate, which is how an unusual price gets caught while it is being typed rather than at the month end.
Multi-branch: godowns, branches and separate registrations
Distribution businesses accumulate locations — a second godown, a branch in the next district, eventually a registration in another state. Each branch in Easyy Accounting ERP carries its own country, state, city and tax registration, and holds its own stock.
That means what a branch can sell reflects what that branch physically has, transfers between locations are recorded as movements rather than adjustments, and GST treatment follows the branch that raised the document.
Reporting runs per branch and consolidated. Where the group runs more than one legal entity, each company is provisioned its own dedicated database rather than sharing one pool behind a filter.
Web access: reaching the books from outside the godown
Easyy Accounting ERP is a browser application. A proprietor can look at today's collections from home, an accountant can work without a file being sent to them, and a second godown does not need its own installed copy kept in step with the first.
Access is role-based, scoped per role and per module, and every insert, edit and delete is written to an audit log with the user and the time. The application and the website are both served over HTTPS.
For a business where several family members and staff touch the same books, the audit log tends to matter more than any feature on the list.
Switching is a cost, not a feature
Medical distribution runs on thin margins and long habits. Moving accounting software means preparing masters, opening balances and stock with batch and expiry intact, running in parallel for a period, and retraining people who are fast on the system they already know.
That cost is worth paying when the current arrangement is already leaking time — purchase entry that never catches up, expiry tracked in a separate register, a branch reconciled by hand every month. It is not worth paying for a longer feature list.

Does it handle batch and expiry properly?
Stock is held by batch with expiry dates and MRP, the sales picker shows all three together, and expired batches are flagged.
What stops us invoicing a party whose drug licence has lapsed?
The system does. Drug Licence and Food Licence numbers are held with their expiry dates, and an expired licence blocks new invoices to that party.
How are narcotic items controlled?
An item flagged as narcotic on the Item Master cannot be sold to a party without both a GST number and a valid Drug Licence.
Does it produce drug registers or handle filing?
No. It does not produce Schedule H or H1 registers, drug-schedule reports, or any regulatory filing.
Can we run two godowns with different stock rules?
