Easyy Accounting ERP vs Tally vs Zoho Books: choosing software for a multi-branch trading company

Tally and Zoho Books are the two products Indian distributors and trading companies most often weigh Easyy Accounting ERP against. This page deliberately does not rate them. We can't speak for what another vendor's product does today, and any list we published would be out of date within months. What we can set out plainly is what a multi-branch trading business should check for itself — and exactly how Easyy Accounting ERP answers each point.

How to run the comparison yourself

The useful method is boring: write down the questions that matter to your business, ask every vendor the same ones, and make each answer be demonstrated on your own data rather than described in a slide. Bring a real supplier bill, a real stock transfer between two of your branches, and a real credit note. Most of the difference between accounting systems shows up in those three documents rather than in a feature list.

Everything below the line marked Easyy Accounting ERP is our own statement about our own product. For Tally, Zoho Books or anything else on your shortlist, put the same question to that vendor directly — don't take our word, or any competitor's, for what someone else's software does.

The questions worth asking

What to checkEasyy Accounting ERP
Is the customer/supplier master a real ledger account, or a separate list mapped into the ledger?Every customer and supplier is a chart-of-account ledger account, so the party list and the books cannot drift apart.
What does "multi-branch" mean in practice — a filter on shared data, or real separation? Each company is provisioned its own database rather than sharing one pool filtered by an ID column. Each branch carries its own country, state, city and tax registration.
Is tax logic set once for the company, or independently per branch?Per branch, and applied at the transaction rather than patched in at reporting time. GST logic respects state and GSTIN boundaries, including stock transfer and Section 34 note requirements.
Can you add a module a year from now without re-implementing?The core ledger ships with every company. Orders & Goods Movement, Inventory Control, Retail/POS, Credit & Debit Notes, Banking, Payroll and Support switch on per company, at setup or later.
Who can edit or delete a posted transaction, and is there a record?Rights are set per role and per module — not a shared "delete password" — with an automatic audit log on every insert, edit and delete.
How much of purchase entry is typing?AI Bill Scan drafts a purchase invoice from a supplier bill as a PDF, scan or photo, onto a review screen. Nothing posts until someone on your team approves it, and tax is recomputed against your branch's own setup rather than copied off the paper.
Where does it run, and how many companies can one login hold?In the browser, multi-company and multi-branch from a single login.

What this page will not tell you

It will not tell you what Tally or Zoho Books costs, what either includes, or where either falls short. That is a deliberate policy, not an oversight. Vendors change their products and their pricing constantly, a comparison written by a competitor is the worst available source for it, and a page that confidently lists another product's limitations is usually selling something. Ask each vendor directly, and ask for it in writing.

It is also worth being honest about the reverse: everything on this site describing Easyy Accounting ERP is our own claim too. Ask us to show each one running in a demo, on your data.

When switching is worth it — and when it isn't

Changing accounting software is never trivial. Historical data, open transactions and staff familiarity all carry real cost, and if your current setup genuinely covers what your business does, changing it for its own sake rarely pays. The businesses that get value from moving are usually the ones already running workarounds — a spreadsheet kept on the side to reconcile one branch, manual tax adjustments at month end, or purchase entry that takes a person most of a morning — because their current tool was not built for the structure the business has grown into.

A fair way to frame it: the question isn't which product is best in the abstract. It's whether your branches, your tax registrations and your purchase volume fit the shape of the system. Easyy Accounting ERP is built for distributors and trading companies running several branches, with India GST — and UAE VAT where it applies — handled inside one set of consolidated books.
